Growing up in a turbulent environment, Annmarie Topel draws on her childhood experiences to craft engaging stories of colorful characters. Like her own life, they are ripe with intensity from hope to loss, pain to triumph.
Topel lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she spent almost four decades in the broadcast industry, retiring in 2020 to pursue her passion for writing. She’s an avid runner, antique collector, and animal lover. She lives with her husband, Kirk, and their rescue dogs Frankie and Benny. Together they have three adult children. Through her writing, she hopes to draw attention to and grow support of homeless people and animals.
